The Canada Collection for Wabano is a curation of works from Indigenous artist Carl Beam.

 

Born on Manitoulin Island to an Objiway mother, Carl Beam was the first aboriginal artist to have contemporary art purchased by the National Gallery of Canada. He has worked in several mediums including photography.

 

Master Lithographer M. Bernard Loates, who is recognized as one of Canada’s finest printing artisans, produced these limited-edition prints.

Master Lithographer M. Bernard Loates is recognized as one of Canada’s finest printing artisans. Loates is best known in the United States for his M. Bernard Loates Edition of John James Audubon, Birds in America.
