In 1999, Carl Beam produced 29 visually striking pieces of work that, while true to his mixed medium style, blending contemporary art with traditional Indigenous symbols, seemed to be louder and more direct in exploring the painful history of residential schools and Indigenous colonization in Canada.

Limited edition prints were created, numbered and signed by Carl Beam. Only 300 prints of each piece were made.

Canada Fine Art holds a large collection of this body of work, and has partnered with the Wabano Centre for Aboriginal Health to showcase these works within the larger conversation of Truth & Reconilliation in Canada.
